About Me

Coaching
I am a Mindful Self Care Coach via Guiding Mindful Change, an Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). I work with any individual seeking to make change. My purpose is to aid you in cultivating the awareness you already have. I do not provide advice or tell you what to do. My job is to facilitate the process in an open, authentic and supportive way. With over 25 years in public education, the transition to coaching was a natural fit.
Background
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and a Master's in School Counseling. I actually began my career in the field of social services before pivoting to public education. I was a middle and high school English teacher prior to becoming a School Counselor for the past 23 years. I have always been in the helping profession. Helping teens, tweens and parents navigate stress has been a life-long mission. Infusing mindfulness classes, podcasting, professional development for educators and countless mindful strategies have been paramount to my work in schools. Mind Body Medicine and Guiding Mindful Change Coaching were both a natural fit and obvious career transition. Along the way I obtained my 200-hour yoga teacher training, completed a Mindfully Based Stress Reduction experience and have studied as a Holistic Health Coach with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Through all of these experiences, one thing rains true: We all possess our own answers. We simply need help cultivating enough awareness to take actions.
